In the spray extraction process, cleaning solution is sprayed into the carpet under pressure and picked up again immediately afterwards by the integral wet vacuum. The dirt is rinsed from deep down out of the carpet pile and not just from the top third.
With normal soiling, the cleaning solution is sprayed and vacuumed away again in the same pass. With stubborn dirt, we recommend you pre-spray the carpet and let the cleaning solution release the dirt.
In a second pass, the carpet fibres can be rinsed thoroughly with clean water if desired. This prevents fibres sticking together, an effect which is often found in carpets that have been shampooed in the conventional way.
That's why carpets cleaned by spray extraction stay clean longer. With strong vacuum suction the maximum residual dampness is only 10-15%.
